10/19/05 Adopt-a-Thon:
Allegany Co. Animal Shelter will hold an Adopt-a-Thon at the Country Club Mall on Oct. 29th from 10 -4pm. If you are interested in adopting please bring proof
of home ownership ( a copy of your tax bill is good ) or a letter from
your landlord stating you can have pets and any stipulations on type or size. Dogs and cats will be available.

9/22/05 Micro-Chip clinic:
AWS will be holding a Micro-Chip clinic Sat. Sept. 24th from 1-3pm at the AWS office on the Downtown Mall. The cost is $20.00 per animal!
8/29/05 Disaster: Hurricane Katrina & Animals:
Noah's Wish, ASPCA, & HSUS are organizations helping animals during the disaster of Hurricane Katrina. They currently have teams working with the disaster relief.
Any support is greatly needed.

8/5/05 Walkers Needed:
The AWS is looking for people interested in walking in the 2005 Pets On The Mall Oct. 8th. Walkers are encouraged to bring their pets along as well! The money rasied goes to helping the animals!!! Call (301) 724-0446 for more information.

Rabies clinics will be held May 15th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Allegany Health Dept. and George's Creek Elementary school.

AWS Meetings
Our monthly meetings are open to the public. Please stop by to see how you can help and/or become a member. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month at our Downtown Cumberland Mall office at 60 Baltimore Street, and start at 6:30 p.m.
